While the components of delivering construction projects are very similar across many contractors, the ability to bring a project team together with a diverse range of individuals working toward a common goal of delivering for our client is what we pride ourselves on.

Being fair, honest, and respectful to all people (the golden rule) is important to us, while expecting and holding each member of the team accountable for their portion of the project deliverables.

The construction industry faces a wide range of challenges and unique components.

Cold, wind, rain, snow, ice, heat, material delivery times, multiple trade partners schedules needing to mesh together, people, risk, and large investments, are all factors that can impact a project in some way.

When things go really well, there’s a high likelihood that strong communication was a key part of the success. When things don’t go well, a lack of clear and timely communication is often a key missing ingredient somewhere along the way.

There are many things in construction that are difficult to control, and in the case of weather, impossible to control. Open communication, however, is one thing that we can control, and one that we pride ourselves in.

Nick Ylitalo

President, CoBuilt Construction Services

Owner Nick Ylitalo is an experienced construction professional with a 22 year history in the building industry. He was introduced to construction at a young age by his father, Kermit, who dedicated his entire career to construction.

Nick has had the opportunity to work in numerous roles in the construction industry; wearing the tool bags as a Carpenter, Supervising job sites, leading the team in Project Management, as Project Executive, Vice President, and President. The opportunity to serve in these various roles has given Nick a well-rounded background that allows him to utilize his experiences along each step of the project path.

Nick has a passion for the challenges and rewarding experiences of construction, and his greatest passion is the opportunity to work alongside and to serve so many wonderful people each day.
